On March? ?28, the construction work on the "MIRAICHI Research Center" building, which will serve as a base for promoting fusionresearch and demonstration researchand creating startups, has been completed on the Kakuma Campus. On March? ?31, a tour of the facility was held, and President Takashi Wada and other university officials participated in the tour.
This facility was established in April? ?2023 as a base facility to strategically and centrally develop support for leading the research seeds of Kanazawa University to social implementation, following the adoption of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology "Facility Development Project for Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration and Joint Research through Collaboration of Regional Core and Distinctive Research Universities".
The facility is a five-story reinforced concrete building with a total floor area of 3,342 square meters.
MIRAICHI Research Center will have a shared lab to promote interdisciplinary research by researchers on campus, and a room for the creation of startups. Through these efforts, we will present research seeds outside the university as a showcase, and strategically develop support for one-stop social implementation while accompanying the seeds of Hokuriku as a place for social co-creation where new knowledge and diverse human resources and organizations gather.
Full operation of thefacilityis scheduled for July 2025.
